HANNAH WANDEL MIML, CEO OF COUNTRY TO CANBERRA AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE- REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT & CITIES
Hannah Wandel is a social entrepreneur, equality advocate, public speaker, and is the Founder/CEO of national non-profit Country to Canberra, which empowers rural girls to reach their leadership potential. In 2018, Hannah travelled 32,000km to reach over 3,500 girls in 80 bush communities to drive change. Hannah’s advocacy efforts have seen her named one of Australia’s ‘100 Women of Influence’ by the Australian Financial Review/Westpac, speak at TEDxYouth, and represent Australia at the 2018 United Nations Commission for the Status of Women in New York. Hannah also volunteers as a Board Director at YWCA Canberra and the National Rural Women’s Coalition and is a media commentator about youth and gender. On top of all this, Hannah works as a policy adviser for at the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities.
